MAKESHIFTcompany: Insomniacs Fable
Insomniac’s Fable on sanaton tarina, joka yhdistää sirkusta, tanssia ja kuvataidetta. Lavalla nähdään sirkustaiteilija Sakari Männistö, tanssija Emma Lister sekä puupiirroksia, jotka cornwallilainen grafiikkapaja Ravenstongue on tehnyt tilaustyönä tätä esitystä varten. Insomniac’s Fable on intiimi teatteriteos, joka tutkii todellisuuden luonnetta, unia sekä rakkauden ja pakkomielteen välistä suhdetta.
Insomniac’s Fable combines circus, dance and visual art to tell a tale of unrequited love. Mysterious and immersive, Makeshift Company use stunning projections, animation and music to bring to life a mesmerising theatrical performance.
The core of MAKESHIFTcompany is the artistic work of dancer Emma Lister and circus artist Sakari Männistö. With decades of creative experience and knowledge between them, they aim to tell stories through combining dance, circus and a broad range of collaborators from the performing and visual arts.
